Our Seres throw blanket is an exquisite example of the Eastern Mediterranean's centuries-old silk craft. The throws are handmade from start to finish by a family of silk makers that have been practicing sericulture for six generations. From the cultivation of silkworms in mulberry trees, to handspinning the silk fibers, to weaving the fabric on wooden looms, each step is carried out according to traditions passed through the ages. The result is a luminous, supple textile in the natural ivory color of raw silk. Light-weight but velvety soft, it can be used in all seasons. There is much variation each time the silk fabric is made, so the Seres throws are a unique, small-batch production.
